Drummond Woodsum’s Intellectual Property and Entertainment Experts to Join Tribal Law Attorneys on Indigenous Data Sovereignty Panel
March 13, 2026
Corey Hinton and Naomi Bebo of Drummond Woodsum’s Tribal Nations Practice Group will feature on a March 18 panel discussion titled “Indigenous Data Sovereignty and Intellectual Property: Tribal Law, Agreements, and Artist Perspectives.”
Data sovereignty, the idea that data is subject to the laws of the country where it was generated, has become increasingly consequential with the emergence of artificial intelligence. Members of Drummond Woodsum’s Tribal Nations team believe this is a key area where indigenous nations can assert their own sovereignty and preempt other laws.
Hinton and Bebo will be joined by two other Drummond Woodsum attorneys with unique perspectives on the topic: Elek Miller, who leads the firm’s AI, Intellectual Property, and Data Security practices, and Ari Solotoff of the Entertainment, Media, and the Arts practice.
The talk is part of a recurring Continuing Legal Education webinar series titled “Lunch in Indian Country,” which is co-sponsored by the State Bar of Arizona and the Tribal In-House Counsel Association (TICA).
